宗教文化に基づく秩序と道徳
日本の文化には、仏教（禅）、儒教、そして神道の精神が根付いています。
これは、私たちが普段から意識しているものではなく、無意識に、これらの宗教概念に則った思考や行動をしているのです。
それが、今回の震災では世界中の人々に感動を与える結果になりました。
日本の仏教（禅）では、言葉や文字で人に何かを伝えて学ぶのではなく、坐禅による「悟り」を重視します。
仏教のこのような思想は、言葉に出さずに自分でものを考え、静かに行動するという、一種の「冷静さ」を生む結果になっています。
儒教では道徳を重んじ、人を敬い、思いやり、人との良好な関係を築くための知恵を私たちに授けています。
「上下関係」は私たちが知る典型的な儒教思想による対人関係ですが、私たちはこういう儒教思想を元に、道徳心の基礎を形成しています。
神道は日本固有の宗教（或いは教義）で、自然を崇拝します。
私たちは「自然の前では無力である」とよく言いますが、それは自然界が私たちをコントロールしているという根本的な考え方の現れです。
自然界で起こったことに対して私たちは無力で、抵抗できないという「悟り」があるからこそ、嘆き悲しみつつ、震災で起こった出来事を受け入れていったのだと思います。
そのような日本に古くから伝わる宗教に則った伝統の数々が、今回の震災で世界から注目され、賞賛される結果を生み出したのです。

The Order and Morality Based on Religious Culture
Japanese culture has the spirits of Buddhism (Zen), Confucianism, and Shinto.
We have a thought and action unconsciously followed these religious concepts.
It has led to impress people around the world when the earthquake occurred.
Japanese Buddhism (Zen) emphasizes the enlightenment by zazen rather than learning something from people with words or letters.
Such a philosophy of Buddhism makes people think of things on their own and do something without saying anything, which leads to the calm.
Confucianism teaches us the wisdom to respect morality and others, being thoughtful of others and build a good relationship with others.
Confucianism has a typical hierarchy and we have formed the basis of the moral on the basis of these Confucian thoughts.
Shinto is Japanese specific religion (or doctrine) and nature is worshipped.
It is often said that it is helpless in front of nature, which is a manifestation of the fundamental idea that the nature controls us.
We understand that we are powerless and we cannot resist what happened in nature, therefore we have accepted the disaster in the earthquake.
These various traditions in accordance with the religion handed down from ancient times have attracted attention and praised from the world at this time of the earthquake.
