忍者
私たち日本人なら誰もが知っている「忍者」。
しかし、忍者がどのような目的で活動し、社会でどのような役割を果たしていたかについて考えたことがある人は、あまりいないように思います。
それは、漫画やアニメでの「忍者像」があるため、改めて忍者の歴史を振り返る必要性まで感じないからでしょう。
しかし、戦国時代～江戸時代に、幕府・組織のための諜報活動や破壊活動を行っていた彼らは、日本ならではのユニークな存在です。
忍者は、いわゆる「忍法」や「忍具」を武器にし、時には相手を暗殺するような組織で、将軍や幕府に仕えていました。
日没後の活動で黒装束をした姿が私たちには最も「忍者っぽい」のかもしれませんが、厳密には黒ではなく、柿色や紺色のように、夜目立たないような色彩の衣服を身にまとい、人目につかずに行動していたのです。
忍者の集団を「忍軍」といい、特に、伊賀忍軍（現三重県）と甲賀忍軍（現滋賀県）の活躍が有名です。
忍具である手裏剣や、心理術を備えた忍術、また格闘場面での忍法など、忍者には、その任務を成功させるための様々な術が必要になります。
ですから、現在の軍人や諜報員同様に、五感を研ぎ澄ますために過酷な修行をしなければなりませんでした。
海外では、日本同様に漫画やアニメ、更に映画などで「NINJA」がブームになり、ユニークなスパイ像として、現在まで大きな関心が寄せられています。

Ninja

It might be because we have learned "the image of a ninja" from manga or animations, so that we do not need to look back at the history of a ninja.
However, it is the Japanese unique existence that they had been carried out intelligence activities and sabotage for the shogunate and the organization from the Warring States period to the Edo period.
A ninja used so-called "ninja arts" and "ninja implement" as weapons to sometimes kill enemies in the organization and served the Shogun and the shogunate.
Although a ninja with a black costume after sunset might be the most "ninja-ish" to us, actually a ninja did not wear a black costume but reddish-brown or dark blue clothes to be inconspicuous at night.
A group of ninjas is called a "ninja force", in particular, activities of Iga ninja force and Koga ninja force are famous.
A ninja required a variety of ways for the success of the mission, such as a short dirt called shuriken, which is a ninja implement, ninja skills with psychological tactics, and ninja arts in the fighting scene.
So, in the same way as the current military and intelligence personnel, ninjas had to perform the tough training in order to sharpen their senses.
A ninja has been popular in cartoons, animations and movies abroad as well as in Japan.
And it has been know as a unique spy image up to now.
