初音ミク
初音ミクは、恐らく世界初の世界的バーチャルアイドルでしょう。
私たちがバーチャル歌手に熱狂するようになったのは、単にオタク文化の世界的浸透だけではなく、日本の優秀な技術力による功績も大きいと思います。
「初音ミク」は、VOCALOID（ヤマハの音声エンジン）を搭載した女の子のキャラクターです。
VOCALOIDの技術自体は、既に日本には高い水準で存在していました。
しかし、初音ミクを生み出したクリプトン社（本社：北海道）は、パソコンの合成声音だけでは普及は難しく、人々がより曲をイメージしやすくするための戦略が必要だと考えました。
そして最終的に、イラストレーターに依頼して、アイドル風の女の子を作成し、音声とキャラクターの一致を図ったのです。
音声電源のサンプルには、声優・藤田咲さんの声を採用し、特定の声とキャラクターを持つ初音ミクが生まれ、各々がプロデュースすることが可能なソフトとして流通するようになったのです。
そして、動画サイトでオリジナルの「初音ミク」の披露合戦が繰り広げられ、すぐにブレイクしました。
初音ミクに関して、クリプトン社が意識的に著作権での拘束を緩くしました。
このことで逆にキャラクターが拡散されやすくなり、世界に浸透する結果を生み出しました。
「初音ミク」及びクリプトン社は、「バーチャル・アイドル」という時代の新しいアイドル像を世界に築き上げたのです。

Hatsune Miku

It has led the character to be spread around the world.
Hatsune Miku and Crypton Future Media, INC. created the virtual idol which is the new image of idol.
