ジャパン・エキスポ（Japan Expo）
2010年には、「クール・ジャパン」が発足しましたが、実はそれ以前から、既に日本の伝統及び大衆文化は大規模な形で海外進出を果たしてきました。
その最も大きなものの一つが、毎年フランス・パリ郊外で開催される「ジャパン・エキスポ」です。
ジャパン・エキスポは、回を重ねるごとに集客数が確実に上がり続け（図参照）、人々を熱狂しています。
ジャパン・エキスポでは、
- DVDその他のグッズ販売
- 漫画喫茶経営
- アイドルのイベント
- 伝統文化の紹介（囲碁将棋、武道、書道などの体験コーナーもあり）
等が行われていて、毎年大盛況で、アイドルのライブに至っては、日本以上の熱狂ぶりを見ることができます。
ヨーロッパ諸国は大陸で繋がっているところが多いこともあり、「ジャパン・エキスポ」は、まさに日本文化ヨーロッパ進出の最も大きな足がかりといえそうです。
フランスには、フランスの歌手より日本人歌手を好む人が多く、日本の漫画やアニメを見て育った世代が大勢います。
彼らが、新たに日本文化を伝道する役割を担ってくれるに違いありません。
因みに、今年（2012年）には、アイドル・グループ「ももいろクローバーZ」や「X-JAPAN」がエキスポで公演やイベントを行い、フランスファンを熱狂させました。
このような、「日本」をテーマにした大規模なイベントについては後ほど詳細を述べますが、世界各国で大きなムーヴメントを起こしていることは間違いありません。

Many people prefer Japanese singers to French singers and have grown up with Japanese manga and animation.
They must play a role to introduce Japanese culture again.
In addition, idol group "Momoiro Clover Z" and "X-JAPAN" performed the performances and events at Expo in 2012, and French fans were excited.
These large-scale events that feature Japan would be definitely great movement around the world and it will be discussed in detail later.
