茶道

茶道」は'Japanese Tea Ceremony'として世界で知られています。

この英語を直訳すると「日本のお茶の儀式」になるわけですから、「茶道=儀式」になります。

世界ではお茶を飲む習慣がある国は非常に多く、飲み物としてはコーヒーと並んで最も一般的なものです。

しかし、お茶を儀式的にいただく文化は、日本にしかありません。

お茶は8世紀頃に、書物によって日本に伝えられました。

その後、禅僧が中国からお茶を輸入し、日本なりの解釈で徐々に儀式化していきました。

このことから、茶道は禅の価値観と強く結びついています。

そして16世紀に、千利休が茶道を日本の伝統儀式として体系づけました。

現在の私たちは、お茶を気軽に飲むことができますが、一方で、禅と強く結び付いたお茶の儀式は守られ、伝統は継承されています。

茶道」の儀式では、茶室と呼ばれる茶の儀式専用の部屋があり、そこには禅の言葉が書かれた掛け軸が飾られ、儀式専用の茶道具、茶器が使われます。

これらは各々が立派な芸術品であり、茶の儀式を執り行う芸術的空間を作り出しています。

このように、茶道では、高い芸術性と精神性が融合しているのです。

そこには、日本にしかないシンプルかつ究極の「」が存在します。

世界では、ジャポニズムの流れを受けて茶道が知られるようになり、現在では「禅の精神」と共に、日本の美しさの象徴として紹介されています。

Sadou

"Sadou" is known as the "Japanese Tea Ceremony" in the world.

In the ritual of "sadou", there is a room for the ritual of tea called a tea room. It has the hanging scroll that expresses Zen words, and tea utensils for a ritual are used there.

Each of them is a fine work of art and creating an artistic space to hold a ritual of tea.

In this way, high artistry and spirituality are combined in the tea ceremony.

There is simple and ultimate "beauty" which exists only in Japan.

In the world, the tea ceremony has been known as the influence of Japonisme, and it is now introduced as a symbol of Japan's beauty along with the "the spirit of Zen".
